W3 is led by two partners—Danna de Groot and Margot McLaren—who together have more than 35 years of experience as designers responsible for delivering successful projects.

Danna de Groot, B. Arch, MRAIC
Creative Director

Danna Maria de Groot holds a professional degree in architecture and is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. She has over 30 years of experience in architecture and exhibit design. Over the years, Danna has been sought out by various clients and partners to create unique concepts and design many well-known venues. She is driven to be the best in her field, and maintains the highest level of creativity and professionalism on each and every project.

Margot McLaren, PMP
Director of Operations

A visual thinker, storyteller, and problem solver, Margot spent the first part of her career as a graphic designer, producing graphics for a wide range of exhibits, from temporary installations completed on shoestring budgets to award-winning, multimillion-dollar permanent galleries. Now focused on project management and operations, she wields spreadsheets, crunches numbers, and produces schedules and budgets with ease. She feels a tremendous sense of satisfaction in seeing an exhibit come to life, having her work be part of telling an important story, and giving visitors an experience they won’t soon forget. It’s what motivates her to give her best on every project.
